As the oldest and largest castle in the world, Windsor Castle has been home to British monarchs for over 900 years. Guided walking tours of Windsor Castle are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays instead. Stonehenge The majestic ancient stone circle is one of the wonders of the world. See these Neolithic megaliths that have stood on Salisbury Plain for around 5,000 years and explore the fascinating theories surrounding this prehistoric site. Try to piece together how, who and why they were there - it's bound to be an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to visit the award-winning visitor centre, where you can admire 250 archaeological artefacts found at the site, contemporary art, photography, as well as a large shop and cafe. Outside the visitor centre you can also see replicas of Neolithic houses discovered during archaeological excavations in 2006 and 2007. Bath Bath is a stunning Georgian city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with extraordinary architecture. It is home to the world-famous Roman Baths, one of the UK's most historic attractions. Although you can no longer take a dip in the thermal waters, you can enjoy the stunning views of the thermal waters and the beautiful surrounding scenery. Why not try Bath's thermal water in the Pump Room and rate its taste? If you have time, stroll the cobbled streets of this idyllic city and be sure to visit Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent and the magnificent Pulteney Bridge. Windsor Castle is closed: Every Tuesday and Wednesday The castle is closed from December 24th to 26th Windsor Castle is closed on 26 December so we will be organising a Windsor walking tour instead. While the State Apartments are closed, this area and the Painting Gallery will remain open. St. George's Church St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays as services are held all-day the day. Visitors to the castle on Sundays will not be able to enter the chapel or visit Queen Elizabeth II's grave.
