one-day tour to Mont Saint Michel Depart from central Paris at 7:15am for a magical day at Mont Saint Michel. Take in the beautiful green scenery as you ride. As you gaze out over the Normandy countryside, listen to some preliminary commentary via the audio guide downloaded on your phone. Arrive at Mont Saint Michel around noon, where you can enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. Take a walk to the foot of the Mont Saint-Michel Island; a unique solid rock hill dating back to the Middle Ages, surrounded by a vast bay with one of the highest tides in Europe. You will make your own way up to the 8th-century Benedictine abbey at the top of the mountain. Your audio guide will take you to explore the three-story cloister dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel and the principles of this Gothic architectural marvel. You will also explore the abbey's inner courtyard, the stately refectory, and the gardens that jut out over the sea. You can then freely explore the sights along the ramparts and circular walkways. You will also be able to listen to a guide at different points in the village walk. You will be intoxicated by the salty smell of the sea and be amazed by the magnificent landscape! This charming landscape is an endless sandy expanse at low tide and an isolated island in the sea at high tide. You can also take the opportunity to taste some of the mountain's Food and Beverages(such as the famous Breton crepes), browse the souvenir shops, participate in the village's activity and, if time permits, visit several museums.
