The entrance to the building is decorated with the city coat of arms and a replica of Michelangelo's famous sculpture "David". The 16th-century Salon dei Cinquecento (Salonedei Cinquecento) on the second floor of the building used to be the meeting room of the Florentine Republic. It was decorated with Bazzari paintings.
