The Bear Farm, located near the entrance of the Showa Shinzan cable car, raises more than 100 purebred Hokkaido brown bears. Brown bears are the largest wild mammals in Hokkaido. Brown bears can be fed at the Bear Farm. When they see food, they stand up and wave to visitors. They are very cute. It is said that the horse oil here is very useful. It has a vast and beautiful flower field covering an area of 15 hectares, like a colorful rainbow carpet, with different flowers in different seasons. Every year from the end of May to the end of October, more than 30 kinds of flowers, including tulips, lavender, and sunflowers, bloom on the rolling hills.
