Whether it's watching fireworks in the summer or gathering with friends at the end of the year, enjoying the scenery, delicious food, and drinks on a yakatabune is an essential part of experiencing Edo (old Tokyo) culture. As the times changed, the tradition of enjoying the scenery on the water was revived with the use of yakatabune (houseboats). Japanese people love yakatabune and want to experience the pleasure of riding a boat that was once reserved for the imperial family and nobility. Especially during the summer fireworks festival, riding a yakatabune on the Sumida River in Tokyo Bay and watching the fireworks is a truly unforgettable experience. Enjoy a traditional Japanese shamisen performance on a specially decorated yakatabune (houseboat) as you cruise Tokyo Bay at night. The gentle and simple sounds of the shamisen will immerse you in the traditional Japanese culture. Sit comfortably on the roof of the boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The skilled shamisen player will fill the night air with enchanting melodies. You can also easily get on and off the boat at Tokyo Bay, allowing you to fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The ship also features an open-air observation deck, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of Tokyo Bay. The deck is designed to provide a unique outdoor experience, and it's a great place to take in the beauty of the bay, whether it's the peaceful daytime or the romantic nighttime. There are two departures from Echujima Pier every day, at 17:00 and 19:30. The boat will sail to Tokyo Bay and stop at a point with a view of Odaiba Seaside Park, Rainbow Bridge, and Fuji TV. During the stop, passengers can go to the top deck for sightseeing and photography. The boat will then return to Echujima Pier. (The total sailing time is 90 minutes, excluding chartered boats.)
