This tour is great for children and creative people! We combine the Zaanse Schans with a paint your own wooden shoe workshop. History, cheese tasting and a creative workshop all in one tour. The Zaanse Schans is a beautiful preservation village with a variety of historical houses, and working industrial windmills. It feels like you’re traveling back in time! You will experience how life was between the 18th and 19th centuries. We’ll enjoy a pleasant stroll passing the old wooden houses with their preserved original details, enjoy a traditional handcraft demonstration of making clogs, paint your own clog workshop, indulge in a Gouda cheese tasting at the cheese farm, taste local chocolate at the chocolate shop, concluding with a visit to a working industrial windmill.
