You leave the cobbled streets of Edinburgh behind and pass by Linlithgow Palace and Stirling Castle. The area is rich in history so sit back and relax as your driver- Guide tells stories about Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace and Scottish folklore. If you keep your eyes peeled, you can spot the Kelpies, Standard Price 30-meter-tall sculptures of horse heads. Your driver- Guide will take you to one of their favourite resting spots within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, where you can enjoy a coffee and admire the views. After this stop, get your camera ready, because as you head north into the Highlands, the landscape suddenly becomes even more stunning. Glittering lakes, rugged mountains, forested valleys: it’s all so beautiful that it’s easy to forget these places were once the territory of fiercely contested Highland clans. You will stop at Glencoe, one of Scotland's famous natural landmarks. This beautiful area features steep slopes and highly photographed peaks. Your driver- Guide may reveal to you the more than 300 years of tragic history of this valley. You'll then enter the glacial valley known as the Great Glen, passing through the shadow of Britain's highest mountain peak, Ben Nevis. After this spectacular mountain feast, you’ll reach Fort Augustus, located on the shores of Loch Ness, which at 23 miles long and over 700 feet deep is the largest loch in Scotland. You have approximately one and a half hours here to look for the infamous Loch Ness Monster on a relaxing boat trip, freely wander the lake, and enjoy a Food and Beverages. Your journey south is filled with classic Highland scenery, as you wind through the Cairngorms National Park, travel along Loch Laggan and pass Blair Castle.
