Things to know before placing an order: 1. This product is provided by an overseas partner and is booked on behalf of our store. Depart from Edinburgh Castle to Rosslyn, the first stop is Rosslyn Chapel. Rosslyn Chapel is also known as the "Stone Library". There are thousands of ancient carvings on the walls of the chapel, each with its own story. You can also learn about the myths and legends of the chapel, including the story of the Knights Templar. Leaving Rosslyn, we continue into the heart of the Scottish Borders, a region rich in hills, valleys, rivers and moors, and the traditional home of Scottish rugby. We head to the historic town of Melrose, the birthplace of the game of sevens rugby and the home of Melrose Abbey. Melrose Abbey was founded in 660 and is said to be the burial site of Robert the Bruce's heart. Here we stop for lunch and have time to explore the town of Melrose and its abbey. Afterwards, on the way back, we cross the border and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the border. The last stop on our tour is the Glencunchy Distillery, located in the Scottish Lowlands and one of only a few in Scotland. You will learn about the history and process of whisky making and have the opportunity to taste some of the distillery's whisky.
