Kerchor Elephant Eco Park Tour in Chiang Mai
The local Karen communities have a deep-rooted tradition of caring for elephants, viewing them as family members. To support their elephant care without resorting to exploitation, we established KERCHOR Eco Elephant Park in partnership with the Karen community in Ban Sop Win, Chiang Mai province. Unlike other parks that feature elephant rides and shows, the community sought a more ethical and sustainable model. Our approach promotes elephant-friendly tourism, allowing the elephants to engage in their favorite activities such as eating, walking in the forest, playing, and bathing. Visitors can learn about the elephants' daily routines, interact with them, and contribute to their care, all without any performances or riding. Additionally, guests have the option to enhance their experience with spa services at MAKKHA Health & Spa, a tranquil retreat for relaxation and peace. ITINERARY A.
