Elephants Kandha Elephant Sanctuary Before changing into our uniforms, let’s get to know the elephants. After distributing bananas and sugar cane to feed the elephants, you will walk with guide through the reserve where you will spot free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories. You can touch, feed, take photos and interact with the elephants at your leisure while learning about their lifestyle and behavior. After you have met all the elephants, observe the elephants getting muddy so that they can receive a healthy beauty mud treatment for their skin. Next, you will walk with the elephants to a nearby river to observe them wading, playing in the water, swimming, and you will have the opportunity to join them. After the elephants are washed, you can take pictures with them before parting ways with your new friends and changing into dry clothes. Finally, eat some seasonal fresh fruit before once again admiring the impressive countryside on the way back to Chiang Mai. 1. Half-day tour of Kangda (morning session)• 06.30 -07.00 a.m. Pickup from your hotel or accommodation. • 7:30 a.m. The drive north from Chiang Mai is about 50 minutes, passing through forests and local farming areas. • 8:30 AM. Arrive at Kanta Elephant Sanctuary. Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional Clothes & Accessories and prepare fruits for our elephants. • 9 a.m. Elephant Encounter. Feed, interact and play with elephants in their natural environment and get muddy as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. • 10 a.m. Walk with and observe the elephants as they bathe in the river, and you will have the opportunity to join them. • 11am. Enjoy some tea, coffee and seasonal fruits before saying goodbye to the elephants. Depart Kantha Elephant Sanctuary and drive approximately 50 minutes back to Chiang Mai. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation. • “At the sanctuary, we will allow you to spend as much time with the elephants as possible.” 2. Half-day tour of Kangda (afternoon session)• Pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Chiang Mai city and drop off around 18:00 PM. • Approximately 50 minutes drive north from Chiang Mai • 13.00 -13.30 pm Pickup from your hotel or accommodation • 13.30 pm Drive approximately 50 minutes north of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forests and local farming areas. • 14.30 pm Arrive at Kanta Elephant Sanctuary. Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional Clothes & Accessories and prepare fruits for our elephants. • Meet the elephants at 15:00. Feed, interact and play with the elephants in their natural environment and get muddy as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. • 16.00 pm Walk with and observe the elephants as they bathe in the river, you have the opportunity to join them. • 17:00 Enjoy some tea, coffee and seasonal fruits before saying goodbye to the elephants. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation. • “At the sanctuary, we will allow you to spend as much time with the elephants as possible.” 3. one-day tour to Kangda• 08.30 Start picking up guests at the hotel lobby (due to different hotel locations, the time may vary slightly) • 09.00 Head to Kandal Elephant Sanctuary, passing through Chiang Mai's rolling hills, forests, and local agricultural areas. The journey takes about 50 minutes • Arrive at Kanda Elephant Sanctuary at 10:00 and change into traditional Clothes & Accessories provided by the elephant park • 10:30 Prepare fruit meals for the elephants, feed them, and play with them in the park • 12:00 Enjoy a delicious lunch • 13:00 Prepare a meal of glutinous rice and herbs for the elephants and learn about their living habits and behaviors • At 14:00, feed the elephants with glutinous rice balls and fruits, take them to the river to take a bath, and experience a wonderful time of close contact with the elephants. (This activity is for the elephants to have full freedom of activity, bathing, and mud bath, so that you can have enough time to take cute and beautiful photos of the elephants) • 15:00 Enjoy afternoon tea, coffee and take a short break • After leaving the Kandal Elephant Sanctuary, drive about 50 minutes back to Chiang Mai and send everyone back home.
